Using the first chukker as a warm up, both teams put one goal one the board, with Cavalleria Toscana ahead by two due to handicap. Eager to capitalize on the early lead, Mike Davis scored the first goal of the second chukker and play heated up, with both teams furiously trading goals back and forth. Matias Magrini made the final penalty conversion to end the chukker, 6-3. Heading into the half, Mariano Aguerre started another series of alternating goals, and both teams picked up two additional points to end the chukker 8-5.

Instead of accepting defeat, Work To Ride regrouped and came back stronger than ever, using the most experienced members to their advantage. In the fourth, Mariano Gonzalez and Mariano Aguerre scored two goals back to back, inching their way closer to narrowing the gap, now 9-7. Executing an aggressive and calculated fifth chukker, Work To Ride dominated the field and overtook the game, scoring three consecutive goals and a fourth penalty conversion by Mariano Gonzalez. Separated now by just one point and with a first win in sight for either team, it was anybody’s game. Mike Davis struck first in the sixth evening up the board, but Work To Ride would not surrender, answering back with a swift goal by Aguerre. A penalty conversion each would signal the well-deserved victory 13-12, in favor of Work To Ride.
